Abby loves the customer aspect of her job and building relationships with tenants. She is highly motivated and loves having a full schedule! Abby grew up in Seattle and spends her off time bribing her three kids to do chores.

Looking to live in the big city, and preferably one where she would never have to shovel snow again, she moved to Seattle in 2008 to attend the University of Washington. Graduating with a degree in Art History, she naturally went on to become a barista. After years of slinging espresso, selling furniture, and some odd jobs here and there, she finally fell into Real Property Associates. Within Barbara's business career, she has focused primarily on HOA's and commercial properties but it well-versed in residential management as well. Barbara holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Washington and is also a member of the Belltown Business Association. Barbara is married, with a family of four, and is a lifelong resident of Lake Forest Park.

Carol joined Real Property Associates in late 2012. As the Director of Accounting, she restructured the department into an efficient team of dedicated portfolio bookkeepers. In addition to Private Residence/Multi-Family Complex, property accounting, she has taken on a secondary role in establishing a primary HOA division. In her 10 years of Real Estate accounting, she has also become highly proficient in accounting dedicated to Commercial Property Management.

Carol is currently finishing her Bachelors of Accounting, with a goal of obtaining a Master's in Finance. Her higher goal of achievement is to become a Certified Public Accountant.

Outside of RPA, she is an avid foodie who aspires to begin a blog to share her passions. Her driving force is the time she spends with friends and family, especially the newest addition (some may even say, the Mascot) Gus Gus the Bulldog. Carol favors anything that involves independent films and documentaries, social community events, books/articles that provoke new ways of thinking and opportunities for success personally and professionally.

Gordon StephensonCo-owner and Managing Broker

Gordon co-founded Real Property Associates in 1991. He acts as the designated broker for the company, overseeing over 60 brokers in their sales activities, and continues to personally represent buyers and sellers. He is also involved with RPA’s commercial real estate division where he provides management and consultation for commercial property owners.

Gordon has served as a trustee with Seattle Union Gospel Mission, and on other non-profit and community boards. In addition he is on the board of directors for two publicly traded companies: He is a founding and current board member for Zillow Group, and a director for Anchor Bancorp, a community bank based in Lacey, WA.

Gordon grew up in Lake Forest Park and graduated from North Seattle's Shorecrest High School in 1984. After graduating from Stanford University in 1988 with a degree in economics he returned to Seattle and started working in real estate as a sales agent before starting RPA. He lives with his family in Lake Forest Park.

Greg has recently come down from the mountains where he worked as a Ski Patroller and EMT, to get back to work in the Property Management field. He had previously managed a Ballard property that whetted his appetite to learn more about Property Management business. In another life, Greg worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was not to blame for the Moonlight/La La Land mishap.

He is a graduate of North Seattle College and holds a Masters of Accounting from Washington State University.

Gretchen recently joined RPA as a property manager bringing over 20 years of management experience. Gretchen cut her teeth with the purchase of a big old house in the fast-paced rental environment of the University District. She has since placed tenants and managed homes in neighborhoods all over the city.

Gretchen’s focus on positive and proactive communications supports her outstanding record of placing quality tenants in quality properties. From high-end single family homes to classic Capitol Hill apartment buildings, Gretchen knows how to work with owners to keep pace with the latest laws and attract the savvy renters of today’s Seattle market.

Gretchen and her husband own a handful of rentals including a classic Seattle houseboat, the Sugar Shack, one of Seattle’s favorite romantic hotspots on Airbnb. Gretchen teaches Landlording 101 at North Seattle College and has been a consultant for first-time landlords through her business of the same name (www.firsttimelandlord.com). She has a BA in Marketing from Southern Utah University.

Jay partnered with Gordon to start Real Property Associates with the goal of providing excellent brokerage and property management services. Their original office was in Edmonds until they expanded their business and moved to Seattle in 1996.

Jay oversees RPA’s growing property management division which employs over 30 team members managing properties for over 700 different ownership groups. Jay is also involved in our brokerage area, representing buyers and sellers in all capacities.

Jay developed an interest in real estate investing while in college and arranged to receive credit towards his degree for some of his real estate work. For several years he purchased, developed, and managed properties as an investor and partner in properties from Seattle to Everett.

Jay is a lifelong resident of Edmonds and a graduate of King's High School. He graduated in 1988 from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in real estate and business. He is currently serving as President of the non profit group, Connect Nicaragua.

Jonathan joined RPA in 2018. His career began within the Facilities Management Industry working as the Portfolio Manager for the Remote Campuses of Microsoft. He also worked as the Maintenance Manager for one the largest parking companies in the US. This experience piqued his interest in Property Management since he gained the insights and understood the business from the perspective of a vendor. Thus he entered the Property Management Industry in 2014 and has been there ever since.

Jonathan grew up in the Shoreline/Seattle area and is a graduate of Shorewood High School. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2006.

Kathy began her career at RPA in 2004 as a Real Estate Agent with an interest in making a transition into property management. Presently she manages a large portfolio of residential properties with the help of her husband and assistant, Rick Lehman.

Kathy and Rick pride themselves on their high attention to detail and diligence with placing great tenants. Their passion for their profession is reflected in the exceptional service provided to their clients.

Lisa joined Real Property Associates with over 15 years of experience in the property management industry and 22 years in customer service. Over the years, she has obtained and mastered a wide variety of skills that help her excel as a property manager. Driven by her passion for working closely with owners and residents, Lisa's work ethic and optimism helps her achieve positive results. She has developed a sharp eye for detail and a desire to make systems, processes and people work as efficiently and effectively as possible. With knowledge and a prior background in construction, she has gained expertise in maintenance and repairs. This knowledge combine with her creativity often times helps her find ways to minimize expenses. Above all, Lisa genuinely cares about building a relationship with her owners and residents and to provide them with the support, tools and resources they need.

Lisa and her daughter moved to Washington in 2000 from Orlando, Florida and currently resides in Edmonds. She recently rescued a dog from Costa Rica and enjoys snowboarding, live music and sitting on the beach with her family.

She specializes in managing residential properties in North King and South Snohomish Counties.

Prior to becoming a property manager at RPA, Max was an on-site business manager of multi-family communities. He has over 10 years of experience managing properties ranging from tax credit, MFTE, conventional, and brand new lease ups.

Max is highly organized with outstanding analytical and problem solving proficiency. He has proven customer service skills and is excellent at communicating with great attention to detail.

Max was born in Russia and moved to Seattle 20 years ago. He is bilingual and fluently speaks, reads and writes in Russian. Max has a B.A. in Business Administration with a major in Management and Operations.

Meghan joined RPA in the fall of 2007 and now manages a portfolio of residential rental properties ranging from private residential homes to multi-family complexes. Before becoming an account manager, she spent time in different departments, mastering all different aspects of property management; bookkeeping, maintenance, legal aspects, tenant relations, etc. She believes in a strong owner—manager relationship and can help create a management style that fits the needs of the client.

Meghan’s experience has made her one of RPA’s senior managers. Meghan grew up in Wisconsin, and is married with two children.

He's also a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London, and an MBA student at Seattle University. Since the early nineties Tom has invested in, managed, and sold real estate. Tony attended Shorewood High School and graduated in 1987 from the University of Washington with a B.A. in urban development. He played football for the Huskies and he was a member of the 1984 Washington squad that finished the season with a record of 11-1 and defeated Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. The 1984 team was inducted into the Husky Hall of Fame in 2016.

In 2017 Torrey moved back to Seattle, his hometown, to continue his management career. While the properties differ in size and location, Torrey’s dedication to delivering results to property owners and tenants is his top priority.
