Americans Are Moving Less Frequently, and Age Plays a Big Role

Though you wouldn't know it based on the influx of new residents and construction of high-rise apartment buildings in Seattle, as a country, we are moving less frequently, according to this article in The Seattle Times:

 

Americans are moving house much less than they used to, and age has a lot to do with it

Despite a long recovery and record streak of job growth, the share of Americans moving to a new location continued a decades-long decline in 2017.
